BBC Magazines / Chevrolet photo shoot

We were the choice of BBC Magazines for their photo shoot for the September issue of Gardeners World (p40-41), where Chevrolet UK are featured in an article about their funky little Aveo – Chevrolet’s newest model to the UK market.

The brief was to capture the new Aveo on the cars first visit to Dartington Hall, Devon. We had a lot of fun with real-life models Jan and David, who were in with a real chance of winning the car through a Gardeners World competition.

The weather was bright but with quite a lot of cloud scudding by, which makes for constant fluctuating light readings. We’d gone fully prepared with a gamut of portable studio lighting, and used 3 studio ‘heads’ for most of the shoot, with a soft box generally up near Jan and David’s faces most of the time. Lighting cars in changing light conditions can be a tricky situation. But we were pleased with the results, and so was  the client:
