GirlGuiding 2009 front cover

You might like to see the front cover of the latest issue of the Girl Guide’s magazine ‘GirlGuiding’ 2009, you’ll hopefully appreciate the front cover image taken by us at one of the Girl Guide’s Centennial events held in Plymouth. Photographers were booked for events held all around the UK, and we were selected to represent the South West arm of the Girl Guiding event. Photographs were for immediate press use (images had to be uploaded same day to reach National and local newspapers) and for the Girl Guides own ongoing use within their own publications.

It was an exciting, but slightly damp day, with the challenge for photography of proper Plymouthian rain! As expected the girls were a hardy bunch, and hundreds of members ‘braved it out’ despite the rain, enjoying a picnic with umbrellas, a bus tour around the city centre, the making of a huge number 100 out of girl guides which we photographed from the tower on Plymouth Hoe, as well as competitions and live music to mark this important event for the association.
