Capturing the build of a new road from the air

October 05, 2013

The Kingskerswell A380 bypass (also known as the South Devon Link Road) has been talked about, dreamt of and fought for for over 40 years to create much-needed free-flowing transport route into and out of the Torbay area of Devon. I won the contract to deliver professional commercial photographic record of the build of the SDLR back in 2012, months before works began. 2 years in, I'm continuing to deliver monthly updates from over 90 set and agreed locations.

Part of my contract with Galliford Try (partnered with Devon County Council and Torbay Council) is to deliver aerial photography of the construction work at set intervals of the 3 year build, for which I use a light aircraft adapted for photography.
